AGASTHYARKOODAM :
Located 70 km from Thiruvananthapuram. Attractions: Rare herbs and medicinal plants. The Agasthya forest believed to have been the abode of age Agasthya a character from mythology. Trekking trails thick forests Agasthyarkoodam, the spectacular peak in the Western Ghats rises to a majestic 1890 m in the form of a sharp cone. A haven of rare herbs and medicinal plants, its slopes are a breathtaking sight when they transform into colourful glades of the 'Neelakurinji', a flower which blooms only one in twelve years. PONMUDI
Location: About 61 km from Thiruvananthapuram city, south Kerala. Altitude: 915m above sea level. Located within a short driving distance of Thiruvananthapuram, Ponmudi is an enchanting hill resort with narrow winding pathways and cool, green environs. Along with a beautiful array of mountain flowers, exotic buttor flies and small rivulets, Ponmudi offers excellent opportunities for trekking. With its tea estates and mist covered valleys Ponmudi is a east developing hill report with cottages and dormitory accommodation facilities. PAPPARA WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
 Location: About 50 km from Thiruvananthapuram city reroute to Ponmudi, Thiruvananthapuram district, south Kerala. Lying on the outskirts of the capital city, the Peppara Wildlife Sanctuary is spread over an area of 53 sq. Km. On the Western Ghats and was established in 1938. The place is fascinating for its despite, thick forest areas, eucalyptus plantations, crystal clear streams and rocky terrains ideal for adventure expeditions. The sanctuary has a rich population of mammalian fauna and is emerging as a big attraction to wildlife enthusiasts and ornithologists. Elephants, sambar, leopard, lion-tailed macaque and cosmos ant are only seen here. Recently, a joint effort has been made by Kerala Tourism with the State Forest Department and the Kerala Water Authority to beautify the despite and provide more entertainment/leisure facilities here.   
 PAPPARA WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
ISMA, TRIVANDRUM
 Location: Vazhuthacaud, in the heart of Thiruvananthapuram city. The Indian School of Martial Arts (ISMA) was established in 1983 and is recognised by the Government of India and Sports Council as an ideal training centre for the 5000 year old martial art, Kalarippayattu. ISMA is also a place for healing and rejuvenation, since Mr.Balachandran Nair who set up the organisation hails from a family of warrior healers.  




KANYAKUMARI:
 87 km away from Thiruvananthapuram, it is located at junction at the southernmost tip of India where the three water bodies, namely, Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean meet. From here, one can see the sun rise from use Bay of Bengal and set in the Arabian Sea. It is a holy place for Hindus because of the Kanyakumari Temple. The Gandhi Smarak Mandir and Vivekananda Rock Memorial are additional tourist attractions.
